A Parent’s Guide to Social Media Safety
There has never been a guide to parenting in general, never mind a guide helping parents to deal with whatever new invention has landed on
A collaborative network bringing together businesses, organisations, experts and individuals who are committed to making the online world a safer, more responsible place.
“Online safety harms affect everyone. We believe that real change happens when people work together (across sectors, backgrounds and experiences) to share knowledge, support one another and speak with one strong, united voice.”
Through regular events, shared resources and open dialogue, the Forum connects those tackling online harm in all its forms, from misinformation and fraud to digital abuse and reputational risk.
Our aim is simple:
Together, we’re building a space for collaboration, learning, and action. Because protecting people online is something we can only achieve if we stand united.

The North West Online Safety Forum, is supported by a community of engaged people.
We often hear that online safety is to protect kids, and so we should, but we cannot forget that everyone is affected. And this is why the Forum was created, to bring forces together and look at the whole of our society in the face of online threats.
Now with the help of Social Protect, the Forum can go a little further in supporting whole communities who are constantly at risk of online abuse.
Bringing advanced technological protection directly into the heart of the Forum, this collaboration strengthens our mission of “uniting to protect our communities in the digital world”.
